Happy New Year! We had a blast for New Year’s Eve at VICTORY HOUSE! Sharell our personal chef made an amazing meal and then we all pitched in and brought side dishes but we are so blessed to have such an amazing chef! I haven’t laughed so hard in a pitched in and brought side dishes but we are so blessed to have such an amazing chef! I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time and I treasure every moment that I had with you ladies and my beautiful daughter to bring in this new year playing games, eating food, having fun, and watching fireworks. God has been so good to me And been so good to us and I just pray blessings and Victory and freedom over all the women at Victory and Freedom house, over my family friends and over our entire country! Dear God have favor and mercy on us in this new year 2022. We are believing you for truth and freedom And for your will to be done in our country Lord! May we encourage and spur one another on and love each other well…. May we forgive our enemies Abba father and love them well by our actions not just our words… May we be the light in the darkness. May victory over our difficulties bear witness to everyone watching and everyone listening to God‘s grace power, mercy, and love for all of us!

What We’ve Been Up To

Hillsong Concert

On November 2nd we got to see Hillsong in concert. It was a fun time and a great bonding opportunity for our women. Worship of singing and fun were over the top this night. These women are truly learning how to have a blast without drugs and alcohol.

Women’s Conference

November 19th we went to a women’s conference at our church. It was a very powerful and empowering night for our women.

House Dinners and Birthdays

Every Wednesday we have a house dinner and house meeting with the women. During this time we eat and talk together, celebrate any birthdays, and then have our pow-wow where we share what we are going through for the week. There is always lots of laughter and lots of tears.

Chosen Movie

Through Armor Up’s amazing supporters, we were able to raise donations to take 15 of us to see the Chosen movie. It was a wonderful movie about the birth of our savior with tons of worship that was truly inspiring and brought the reason for the season to life.

Thanksgiving Day Outreach

Thanksgiving day Armor Up did an outreach at the Coalition for the homeless.  We made balloons for everyone, and prayed with and ministered to our homeless community.

Redemption at Its Best – Wedding Celebration

One of our graduated women got married last month! We are so proud of Elizabeth and her road to recovery. She is a wonderful example to all that changing your story and lasting inner healing, deliverance, and transformation is possible and attainable for all. She was one of our first women in Freedom house, and stayed with us a year and 9 months. She came to us just out of jail after almost dying from an infection in her arm, totally hopeless. But within a year and 9 months she got a sponsor, worked the 12 steps, got promoted to house mom, graduated from freedom house, and is now living her new life with her husband, reconciled to her children, and is living free from the chains of addiction. This is what the road to recovery looks like – from hopeless to total restoration.

Baptisms

We had 3 more of our women get baptized on December 5th. Congratulations to Angie, Courtney, and Paulette on this step in their spiritual journey. Baptism represents a changed heart and is an inward expression of rededication and surrendering to Jesus and an outward expression of being cleansed of all past sins and a new beginning with Christ as our center. Baptism is a personal choice, and while not all of our women choose to be baptized, the ones that do find baptism to be a big step in their recovery process as they surrender their wills and ways and past for God’s total healing and redemption in all that He has for their future. We are so proud of all of them, and so grateful and blessed to be able to take part in this.

Christmas Parties

On December 18th Armor Up sponsored a Christmas party hosted by Angella for all of the women in the houses, some of our graduates, and others a part of Armor Up. Everyone dressed up, ate, sang songs, made ornaments, and participated in a white elephant gift exchange. It was a fun time all around with lots of love and laughter and a great night free of drugs and alcohol.

December 22nd Armor Up hosted a Christmas party for all of our women at Victory House and Freedom House. Thank you so much to Debbie at Mardebri Manor Horse Stables for your generous donation of robes for each woman, and thank you to all of our other generous donors that we were able to bless each of our women with gift cards, journals, overflowing stockings, and other gifts. Some of these women said it was the best Christmas they remembered in a very long time.

Christmas Toys in the Streets Outreach

The Christmas outreach was a huge success. We want to thank Christian Help and Celebrate Recovery at Northland, without them this would not have been possible. From their donations and financial support, we were able to hand out over 150 toys, blankets, and bibles in the streets of Orlando. We were able to show the people how much they are loved, remembered, and highly thought of, by us and by Jesus, and there were several salvations. There will now be several more people in heaven for all eternity, which is the most important thing of all.
