HI friends and supporters! I pray this ARMOR UP update finds all of you happy, full of joy and overflowing with peace. Summer is just around the corner. Are we ready for the fun and heat? May we consider it all pure joy. May we treasure every moment, because tomorrow isn’t given! May we live life to the fullest measure, staying in true thankfulness for all that is good and right in our lives! I thank God for all of you!
A special shoutout and thank you to Mercy Road Initiatives at Northland Church for their generous donation of 100 backpacks and new bibles for our Backpacks in the Streets of Orlando outreach on May 26th. NAMIwalk for Celebrate Recovery
So Armor Up and all these girls raised over $1,600 for NAMIwalk (National Alliance of Mental Illness)! So proud of you all and the way you give back! We walked on behalf of Celebrate Recovery at Northland Church to raise money for NAMI! We had a blast and made amazing connections. Our God is the great connector! I have struggled with mental health issues since I was nine years old and labeled manic depressive. I self medicated my entire life to numb the way I feel. My feelings, just overtook and overwhelmed me, but today I walk free from the chains of all that held me prisoner, the chains of all of my addictions, and my mess as well as all of these women at Freedom and Victory House. Our mess is now our message and now we can go and be the light and hope to those still struggling. We can and do recover and become all that God intended us to be. We can change our story.! Thank you LORD!
Painting Stones
Loved painting our stepping stones for the entryways to Freedom and Victory house with you ladies! I enjoy watching you all be so creative! We also painted our rocks to go place at bus stops, where people walk, and where the homeless dwell. We do this every year to encourage our brothers and sisters in our neighborhoods! We are blessed to be able to do this and literally have a miracle story of one woman, who came to Freedom House, who literally found one of our rocks that said surrender and went into treatment the next day. We can’t make this stuff up. God is so good. Amanda, if you happen to read this, we love you and you encourage us to keep going and placing our stones in our city to hopefully make a difference in someone’s life and remind them Jesus loves them!
Hear My Story Testimonies
We are so grateful to have had the amazing opportunity for Hear My Story to come out and film testimonies for ARMOR UP! So proud of everyone who had the courage to share their battle with addictions through their life story. These testimonies are very deep, personal, and intense from the greatest of tragedies to the greatest of victories! Josh and Andrew do such an amazing job and we appreciate your genuine and professional guidance through this process. There was breakthrough and new levels of healing for many in this process. Our mess truly is our message. GOD does not waste a hurt or tragedy! Its all being used for his glory.

80’s Party
We had such an incredible time at the 80’s party celebrating our dear friend Kim Spencer’s 50th birthday! So proud of all you girls at Freedom and Victory House that stepped up to make Kim‘s party such a success! You all are amazing, fun, and very talented. Talk about having some good, clean fun. We danced the night away.
Backpacks for the homeless
On May 26th, 2024, members of our ministry and women at our Freedom House and Victory House Recovery homes will be going to the streets of the downtown Orlando area as we do annually to give backpacks full of toiletries, necessities, a blanket, food, etc. to the homeless. Our mission is to bring hope, love, and Jesus by being a light and SHARING THE GOSPEL with God’s most lost and broken people. We will show our lost brothers and sisters that they are not forgotten that they are not alone and are loved. Every year the impact has been profound and beautiful to witness. You can be a part of all that God is going to do with your prayers and contributions. Help us be the hands and feet of Jesus as we help spread love and hope while providing everyday essentials.
