Hi friends and supporters! I pray all of you are well and holding up with the heat of our Florida summers. I’m enjoying tons of summer fun activities and a break form the normal schedule and I’m praying you are too. We are doing tons of new things at Armor Up. We have filled a couple very needed spots on our board, but we are still in need of a treasurer. Please email angella@armoruprecovery.org with any and all suggestions. We are definitely forming new partnerships so we can continue to grow our recovery community and continue to be a voice advocating for those suffering from addictions, human trafficking, and so much more.
Christian Tech Ministries Gala
I want to give a HUGE shout-out to my dear friend Andre Klass at Christian Tech Center Ministries. I was so honored to be able to attend your gala and we had an incredible time. Andre, you did an amazing job and I am so proud of you. The speakers were amazing, Dexter Sanders gave a powerful message on what is truly going on in our world. The live music by Joe Nester and Zion Downs was unforgettable, I was so filled with the Holy Spirit! Thank you so much Andre for all you do in our community. I pray God’s blessings, favor, and provision over you, your mom, and Christian Tech Center Ministries. I am so excited to take some of our girls bowling with the auction prize I won! I can’t wait till next year!
Passing Out Stones
I had such an incredible time passing out encouraging stones with our women last night. We do this every year and it’s always a blessing to us and those we encounter. We all got together and painted beautiful, encouraging, and inspiring messages on a bunch of stones to place in our community. We went to homeless camps, bus stops, motels, and local businesses leaving a little piece of hope for whoever God intended it for. We even got the chance to hand some stones to people we came across and pray for them. It was absolutely beautiful. We never know how a little kindness can change someone’s life. We even had a woman in our house a year ago who had found one of the stones we had passed out that said “surrender” and that rock was just the thing she needed to make the final decision to go to treatment and she ended up right here with us. Who would have thought that God could do so such great big things with just a little stone. Thank you for the honor Lord allowing us to go and spread the gospel and your love! Our mess has truly become our message. It is our prayer Lord that these stones reach the exact right people at exactly the right time with the word that they know is just from you to them because you love us so much.
Teen Challenge Testimony
I want to give a huge thank you to my friend Jeremy Kupsch over at Teen Challenge Southeast Region Orlando for inviting me to come share my testimony of God’s redemption and power with the amazing group of men they have there working on changing their lives and becoming free from the destructive lifestyles and behaviors that once kept them bound. We had such an awesome time worshipping with you guys. I am so grateful that God can use my mess as my message to reach men and women from all walks of life who look to recover from all kinds of hurts, habits, and hang-ups. I pray for God’s blessings, favor, and divine guidance over each and every one of you. God is raising up an army for such a time as this. So grateful Jeremy that you and I are good soldiers and servants in that army to spread the gospel in all four corners of the earth and we are going to take a whole bunch of people with us, Jeremy. In Jesus’ name, we declare it so!
Backpacks for the homeless
Our backpack in the streets for the homeless event on Sunday, May 26th was everything we hoped for and more! Armor Up wants to thank Mercy Road initiatives at Northland Church for the donation of 100 beautiful backpacks and brand new bibles for all! Boy did we pass out all of those backpacks rather quickly this year. It’s sad there are so many homeless but grateful we were able to bless so many
All people got mostly brand new blankets! These very large backpacks were stuffed full with everything that we thought they could use and need! A big thank you also to our faithful women from St Luke’s for your generous donation! Thank you to all who donated items and finances, and all of the prayers that you prayed for us. I know that the women at Freedom House and Victory Houses were blessed and very touched to be able to go and give and love on the most broken of GODS people I’m so proud of each and everyone of you watching you go spread the gospel and be a light to those hurting people was beautiful! I know I’m always personally the most blessed of everyone to see how God works through the women and through all the people that make it possible for us to go with stuffed overflowing backpacks! I get so much more from getting to love on these people then they could ever receive from us I’m very grateful for the honor of getting to go and do this each and every year with Armor Up! Thank you to all and to God for this beautiful ministry.
Birthdays
So grateful we got to celebrate another birthday with each of you Laura and Courtney, that’s two birthdays we got with both of you, wow! Thank you Lord for the gift of these two beautiful lives. To watch each of you grow into the beautiful butterflies you have become has been such a joy. Courtney actually graduated our program back in March, both of you are doing God’s work and your mess has definitely become your message and I’m so proud of how far each of you has come. I pray this new year of life is overflowing with lots of love and laughter. I love doing this recovery journey with each of you. From where both of you began with us to now being such a light in the community makes everything so worth it. May God bless you both.
Bowling Night
We had so much fun this past Memorial Day! I was able to take a group of our women bowling at Airport Lanes in Sanford thanks to the awesome gift certificate I won in the auction at the Christian Tech Center Ministries Gala and we had a blast. It was so fun to gather together for some friendly competition. Y’all made me laugh so much my belly hurt. I love making good, clean fun memories with you ladies that will last a lifetime. The coolest thing about it all is that we get to wake up tomorrow without feeling like we got hit by a truck and we will remember it all. We had an absolutely amazing time and we can not wait to go back. The staff at Airport Lanes was so friendly, patient, and helpful to our big group which made our night just that much better!

Hear My story Testimonies
We are so grateful to have had the amazing opportunity for Hear My Story to come out and film testimonies for ARMOR UP! So proud of everyone who had the courage to share their battle with addictions through their life story. These testimonies are very deep, personal, and intense from the greatest of tragedies to the greatest of victories! Josh and Andrew do such an amazing job and we appreciate your genuine and professional guidance through this process. There was breakthrough and new levels of healing for many in this process. Our mess truly is our message. GOD does not waste a hurt or tragedy! Its all being used for his glory.

Upcoming Baptisms
We are so excited to announce we are heading back to the beach for another round of baptisms! We would absolutely love for you to join us and you are welcome to get baptized with us or just come to hang out for the day in cheering our women on as they take a HUGE step in publicly proclaiming their love for our Lord! We will let Gods majestic waters wash away the old and resurrect the new creation in Christ! We will have food, fun, fellowship, and music and Bible Study on the beach at around 4:00 or 4:30 . Come and make some beautiful memories with us. Probably my favorite day of the year watching what God does in our women and everyone who participate.
