The houses have been thriving this past month, and we are excited to share our updates with you.

In the Past Month

Action Church

Our partners at Action Church were back again to further improve our houses. They completed the remaining electrical work and brought breakfast and flowers, but the most impactful part of their visit was the prayer team working with our women. They worked extensively with the girls this month, helping those going through a hard time tremendously and left the house anointed and peaceful.

Donations and Activities

A donor from Action Recovery donated tickets to a Casting Crowns concert for 18 of our women. We are so excited to spend time together having fun and listening to good music, learning how to laugh and have a blast without the use of drugs and alcohol. We are extremely thankful for your generosity. What a blessing.

We would also like to thank Steve Rich for the donation of 5 kayaks and a trailer. The girls will love going on monthly kayaking outings together and with their families. Fun events and activities like these help the women to enjoy their life and have fun while they are in recovery. We look forward to some fun adventurous outings together.

Thank you also to Vicki Martin at Christian Help for your continued donations and support, furthering the improvement of our homes and the resources available to our women.

Upcoming

Speaker of the Month

Our April speakers of the month are Chantel and her daughter Victoria from Northland Church. Chantel will be giving her testimony of her recovery. She has been in recovery for over a decade, and will tell her inspiring story of how she rebuilt her life and restored her relationship with her daughter. This testimony will show our women that it is possible to fully recover and to rebuild their lives and relationships.

Baptisms

Seven of our women have chosen to be baptized on April 11th. This is a beautiful display and confession of their newfound faith. Baptism represents a changed heart and is an inward expression of rededication and surrendering to Jesus and an outward expression of being cleansed of all past sins and a new beginning with Christ as our center. Baptism is a personal choice, and while not all of our women choose to be baptized, the ones that do find baptism to be a big step in their recovery process as they surrender their wills and ways and past for God’s total healing and redemption in all that He has for their future. We are so proud of all of them, and so grateful and blessed to be able to take part in this.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, the old has gone and the new has come we are a new creation

Outreach

Our outreach project has been rescheduled for April 24th. We will be working to improve our community with positivity and art. We will be painting stones with encouraging scriptural messages, praying over them, and setting them around town to be found by members of the community.
